We started work on Penelope's in 2021 with the goal in mind of creating a coffee lounge with a relaxing atmosphere where patrons could sit and enjoy a nice drink and a bite to eat at their leisure.
After almost a year of renovations and remodeling, Penelope's held its grand opening on April 20th, 2022 with prizes, live music, and a kickoff of our popular punch-card drink reward program.
We team up with local talent and groups to put on live music and other entertainment, typically on Saturdays from ~10 AM - 2 PM. We are honored to host the Mount Vernon CountryFest Car Show in our parking lot, which takes place annually on the 2nd Saturday in October. New additions to the building include an 1100 sq. ft rental space for celebrations, workshops, and events - and a small tech office offering website services, logo design, computer and hardware repair, IT security and more. We are happy to be an active part of our community that does more than just coffee.
